This book, "How to Speak Chicken," is full of interesting observations, chicken raising tips, and beautiful pictures. A great buy for people who love chickens (which I suppose most people here do).

Here is another great book by Melissa Caughey, "A Kid's Guide to Keeping Chickens." It is a beautiful book, full of great photographs and illustrations, and it covers all the important aspects of raising a happy and healthy flock. It is great for allowing kids to gain a better understanding of chicken behaviors, anatomy, breeds, keeping, &c, and even includes various recipes involving eggs, as well as ideas for entertaining chickens (chicken forts and chicken piñata). (It is a great book for adults, too!)
