What a great space, everyone looks very happy:jumpy:jumpy:jumpy...except for that Roo, he definitely sounded a little grumpy... 😂

Right?! He wasn't going to let me out but he forgot the door opened outward, slowly moved door and him and when I stepped out he checked himself :gig
I think he was trying to help Swirl who was trying to figure out her nest area, she refuses to use the nest box.

And thank you! Hubs did a great job with it. :love

good evening/morning everyone :frow
Hope everyone has/had a great day!!
I've been busy gardening this past few days.
I’ve planted around 100 sunflowers into the ground now.

Well the chickens are happily being chickens, eggs are developing nicely, I'm starting to weed through the grow outs for hiding roos... Definitely got one EE, one wynadotte, and then one possible Java and one possible light Brahma. I'm trying to figure out the jerseys and olive eggers which I'm learning to be difficult.

We're dealing with teen issues and a very bored/ terrorized guard dog... I love him but the teen is being mean to him and we don't have much for him to guard and so we are making the heartbreaking decision to find hopefully a farmer that might want a new guard pup. Unfortunately I can't do that with the teen..... Though he tried running away today, but the parents brought him back home.
I need a weekend of no kids I think after all this!

Well .... I guess the littles aren't doing good after all. Had three up and die today. One may have been to crop obstruction but the other two looked completely healthy and running around like normal yesterday. Though it was 90 degrees and the oldest put the food and waterer up on a taller brick so some couldn't get to it good. But to be safe I also started corid dosage for them since they are at the right age for that.
Lost my black EE, speckled Lakeshore Egger, and one of my Barnevelders.
We're all just kinda sad right now...

But I did get some fabric from my mom and was able to start work on making hen saddles as Sundae and Hershey are almost bald on their backs.
