The little Cochin didn't make it. I think the stress of the shipping, pasty butt, and weird weather was too much for it. We did a chickie funeral. Frosting is gone now too... He went psycho on my kid... Big mistake! Kid knows how to protect himself.

Anyone seen this kinda behavior before? Are they just bonding? I don't think Toasted ever acted this way before.

Also one of my Partridge Cochin had massive pasty butt this morning and it's acting a little weak. It's sleeping on my chest now.

looks like normal behaviour to me, my RIR acts like that with our younger roosters.
I like the colour of that cockerel.

The pathway is almost done.
we had annoying wind and rain again today
I’m waiting for a nice dry day to paint the rest of the archway, and from the look of things it doesn’t look like I’ll be painting it anytime soon. I also want to put some decorations on it to have it looking less boring.

Good to know! I think it's kinda sweet how they feel free to bond to each other now.
Paninni is beautiful... I'm in love with his coloring too! Since he's a Brahma/ OE mix I'm hoping he passes on his Green egg traits to his offspring or even just his coloring!!

Thank you... We are pretty sad but hopefully the other two will be ok, I might look for more they are seriously the sweetest chicks I've had!!

Went out to check on everyone again, they're restless weather rollercoaster! Found Sundae on the eggs I'm hoping they hatch this morning, Molé took afternoon watch, and just now GT was trying to get her tiny body big enough for them... Hopefully one of them settle in to be broody.
