Chase, the smallest, fiestiest girl. She lays where she roosts in the middle of the night, always have to clean her eggs.

Nice egg basket, lovely colours!! The big dark ones remind me of my grandads flock of red stars, he had 3 of them and they’d lay a big dark brown egg everyday.

One of our girls used to lay her eggs under the roosts last year but they all seem to be going into the nest box this year except for one girl that keeps laying her eggs under a white thorn tree.

Brahma chickens, I just cannot get over how beautiful your birds are. All I knew of Brahamas when I started on BYC was they were either light Brahamas or Dark. You have such gorgeous coloring in your birds

Thank you! Hopefully with OE and EE babies in the brooder we'll add even more color to it!
I think that's what she is... Red star... Or golden comet.. she's a good production girl!! We hadn't been getting hers cuz she roosts on the very top so her lazy self just let them fall to the ground... She's finally roosting lower so they don't break as much.
We got 4 more of her breed in the barn brooder, hope they lay just as big and dark!

Thanks! I'm way out of practice! It was definitely fun to work on with the kids... Nice change of pace.
