So, I went to the feed store today and, well, this sorta happened...
4 French Copper Black Marans! I'm so excited, I really want at least one rooster, hopefully they all aren't. We bought four to have a better chance of getting at least one of each! 1 Roo & 3 hens would be perfect! Time will tell!!!

This is it for me too, my chicken math just won't work for anymore!!! My husband was with me when I found these cuties, so at least I didn't have to sneak them in...Aww!!! They are so cute! I'm not allowed in any feed stores for now
So this week's project is to take the back section of the second stall and fence it completely off adding my homemade screendoor to it. We'll be adding the curved underground anti-digging fencing first. I'm hoping to have it done by the end of the week.

Yesterday evening checked the shed babies and we found one of the Barnevelders choking, got it cleared out the best we could but now we wait to see if it aspirated before we got there. I don't like the waiting game... But with everything closing down vets were hard to find before.. now worse.
We got down to freezing last night! In Texas!! It's going to be raining this week but supposed to heat up... Thankfully the stalls are protected so we'll still be able to work.
Otherwise everyone is doing good, just a little stircrazy!!

I am doing fine, thank you all for asking! Just been sorting out my silkie breeding pens for later on in the year and attempting (and so far failing) to get one of the silkies to go broody. I haven't had much time to come onto BYC and feel like I have been neglecting it for the past week! Sorry! But I am back now and ready to get involved!
