Oh I can supply you with a picture of Tammy my 4½ week old silkie chick. But yes more tiny chick pics are needed!!!

New addition to the flock. A young fledgling Wood Pigeon. Can't fly yet. Loves peas and tickles. Likes to also eat chicken food but made into a paste.

Found him/her (who knows at this age ) in the chicken coop last night. The walls were too high for it to get out so I scooped it up and put it out again, only to find it had gone back in again. This morning I put him in a hanging basket. Been feeding him every hour or so with defrosted peas and chicken food paste. Parents have also been coming and feeding him. Parents are tamed so don't mind me touching him.

I've named him Percy.

Florence - grandmother (c.10 years old)

Peter - grandfather (c.10 years old)

Yes he still has the chick down on his adult plumage. Should fall off in the next few weeks. Definitely is very fun!

Tonight was super cool and just gorgeous weather! So I went out and stalked the flock to take pictures. (We rehomed several of the young ones and adults so numbers are down)
Molé and Cajun feeling lonely so we're following me.
TARDIS, she has no tail feathers, I hope they grow back.

Pepper has taken on the role to traine the young ones... they follow her lead, it's cute!

This is everyone but the babies inside.. we set out the evening feeding and everyone was happy!

I’ve got 14 silkies due to hatch tomorrow!

These are from eggs I’ve bought in which I rarely do. I’m hoping for at least one nice bearded to add to my breeding flock ready for showing next year.

In the meantime, have some photos of PomPom’s chicks!
