Aww, I love the mouth wide open pic!!!

He’s a really noisy chick! Even when he’s with his mam he still likes to shout on to make sure everyone knows he’s there!

They are baby swallaws and they are born only a few days ago

Bet that’s great that you are going to get to see them grow!

Oh yes, being noisy shows me that they have plenty of life in them and they’re strong!

Today was hatch day!

Hadn’t had as many hatch as I hoped, humidity issues half way through incubation caused the chicks to be sticky and some never made it out.

Will update with photos when they’re all out and dry!

I will be getting some photos tomorrow hopefully all depending on the weather! It’s just started raining really heavy here

All together there was 14 made it to lockdown, one died after it pipped at the wrong end and another died during zipping as it got stuck.

I assisted 2 as they had pipped but not zipped and they were also stuck but luckily they were still chirping. Got them out and now I’m just hoping they dry off and make it through.

So all together there is 9 chicks out and alive (so far), 2 died and 3 eggs left that I’m still unsure of.

The faces of "we didn't do it".... I heard squabbling went over and the boogers had dumped their food and were scratching it all over the place! So now i gotta clean it out after just cleaning last night. LOL...

Looking at how they are feathering and standing i'm thinking the two buffs are boys, and maybe two of the whites. i'm hoping for less boys now but then again if they all turn out to be boys i'll have a reason to hatch more this fall for more girl brahmas. If i can find some blue partridge or dark brahmas to get into the mix that'd be nice too!
