I have a similar heat plate to this one, it works great to use in the big chicken coop on cold nights. Probably could heat a 4x4’ space pretty well, in a bigger space the chickens would need to get close to it.

My wife got some of these when we had an excessive peckcing problem with quite a few of the ladies. (We probably should not have mixed some of the breeds that we did...) She put these on and it helped tremendously. She ended up taking them off but they did not resume pecking. Every so often, she will have to put one on one of the ladies, but not very often and only on one or two of them.

Note, we did not order the one with the pliers, but we wish we had. They can be very difficult to put on without a tool.

My solution to my problem! I have one mean lady that pecks our recently not broody hen. I have had to separate her from the flock during the day. Thank you!
