My husband went to the feed store and saw they had chicks in, so he literally dragged me in there the next day to see them and forced me to buy some. Ok, so maybe it wasn't 100% like that, but pretty close. I went in to look, he said we should get 10, I was thinking maybe 3, but when he said 10, who am I to argue???

We got 2 more BR's as we just lost 1 a few weeks ago and they are my husband's favorites, 3 more RIR's since we only had 1, and 5 EE's. It was supposed to be 4 EE's but hubby picked one out after I already had 4 in the box. 4 of the EE's have cheeks, only the one white chick doesn't. I'm super excited to see what color these end up being and what color eggs we'll be getting!

We now have 21 chickens and 6 guineas and luckily have room to expand the one coop. Plus we might do something different with the guineas, we researched them a lot before buying, but the male guineas are seriously the dumbest fowl I've ever been around, I think we have dysfunctional guineas 🤣

Chicken math is fun, isn't it?
Congratulations on your new chicks! They are adorable. :love :woot
Chicken math is awesome! We have 3 GC's that started laying last summer so we're expecting them to taper off the end if this year... these should be laying well by then. Actually that's just an excuse at this point 😁 the actual plan was to not buy any chicks this year 🤣

I always like to see what the Easter Eggers turn out to be like compared to what they look like as chicks. It’s interesting how much they change and you never know what you’re going to get! They must be getting big by now! If you get a chance you should post some pictures of what they look like now.
