Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do. 
"Lil Girl"a BB Kraienköppe is the last of my old flock, she's 7. In March I received day olds hatched March 21. A Mottled Houdan, Salmon Faverolle, Egyptian Fayoumi, Ameraucana, Speckled Sussex. Then I bought a Brahma, Silver Laced Wyandotte, Easter Egger and a Cinnamon Queen at Tractor Supply. I'm excited as I was able to get a few fancy breeds, for me at least. They went from living on my dining room table in the big dog crate to the big house enjoying treats.
