Ok mini update that is way later than I thought it would be. Been crazy the last few weeks getting the grow out pen setup and building some garden beds.
Below snapshot of when the brood was roughly three weeks old. There are a few two week old chicks in the photo. Most noticably in the photo is one Blue that is not feathering as fast as the others, it's actually about on par with the week behind group. This was the Blue with the splayed legs who we originally named Waddles.

First day outside in the growout pen for the elder group last week. It's quite an ordeal to greet them all into a tub to be transported, worth it for their antics and joy at the outside space. R.Red Blue in the foreground is named Emperor. I've got a feeling he's gonna be a roo.

Growout pen is in with the ladies who were curious at first but after a week now don't really seem to care much about the littles.

In an unexpected twist, I think we may have another roo in our Blue Laced Red Wyandottes. I forgot to check leg bands though I grabbed a photo as I was putting them back inside for the night. These were to be sexed pullets so it will be a shame but not unexpected with a 90% accuracy. If he's a roo he's gonna have to either go in the pot or to a new home, no room for a non-program roo.

Overall I'm still happy with the health of the 31 total chicks outside the one slow Blue Ameraucana.
