2023 TSC Chick Prices

TSC and Starbard Farms in Lowell, MI both get their chicks from Townline. Townline is about 45 miles away, so that makes sense, rather than shipping them in from Hoovers.

I checked Starbard's website, but they don't list any prices. It's a pre-order by date X to pick up on date Y.

I haven't been to TSC I try to avoid there. We have better options in town. Buchheits and Bomgaars were both reasonable priced, mixed pullets for 2.49 and everything else was 3-4.50/bird depending on breed. The Bomgaars here has list of breeds, quantity, and ship dates from now till June 20th. They just got 400 White leghorn pullets in.

Stopped at TSC a few yours ago. They had lots of ducks, one bin of turkeys, and 3 bins of all straight run chicks. The ducklings were $5, the turkeys $10. The cornish cross were $3, the brahmas $4 (IIRC), and the bantams were $4.50. Not a lot of chicks in any of the bins. While I was looking at them, one of the store employees took a call, and I heard him say, "No, we didn't get any chicks today."

Empty chick bins, no prices. SR turkeys 10 bucks, SR guineas 5.50 something.

Got the flakes I needed and

My TSC in Michigan costs $3.99 for Rhode Island Red and $4.69 for bantam straight runs. They only had 2 breeds when I went in

This is nuts. The guy told me they had 3 shipments so far, and they were gone that day. The feed store across the street was sold out of the small chick waterers. Of all things.
