I don't get the Backyard Poultry magazine, but what I do is order all the free magazines from chicken hatcheries like Murray McMurray and Cackle. (I actually have several of my pictures in the Murray McMurray catalog.)

I know this is random and off topic..but, until now I was misreading your name. I thought it said "Lady" Duckwing. every time I read it, in a comment or post, I got the mental imagery of a lady in a crown . (Lacy is a pretty name too )

My 3 broodies with 9 bantam chicks (some hiding). The chicks are a variety of Dutch, Vorwerk and red porcelain Sussex.
The mama’s are Black and Pearl, my black Dutch, and Janice again (mix breed).

This is one of the reasons why I like to let a broody (or 3) do what she loves to do .

I cropped the photo for a better image presentation.
