21 days ?

hi my eggs were laid on a tuesday and i recieved them on the friday off ebay,,, so do i set my digital automatic incubater to 21 days ...from the laid day? or start of incubation? i need to know this because the incubater stops rolling the egg 2 or 3 days before hatch day...thanks

I gather that they are chicken eggs. It would be 21 from start of incubation.

right...the eggs have been in there 10 days now..and i can clearly see that 2 of the eggs are alive,and i cant see no movement in the 3rd one. do you think i should discard of this egg in case it explodes or should i just leave it...thanks

definately leave it. I just had my 1st hatch yesterday. I had 6 eggs in the bator and the 1st one to hatch was the one I had written 3 question marks on. each time I candled I wrote with a plain led pencil the date and a check or ? .
So don't give up, If they have a dark shell it can be really hard to tell. (speaking from experience)

Hello Andy,
If you've got leghorn eggs they are probably whiteish and you can should be able to tell quite well if there is anything going on inside! Have a look at one that isn't fertile/incubating if it helps. Don't expect to see movement - that is a bonus!! Fingers crossed for my leghorns pipping at the moment!

hi ..the 3rd egg is definatly fertile or was ..in the two good eggs i can clearly see the blood pumping through the vains and the chicken starting to evolve..but the 3rd egg is not as clear to see through .but it has grown...i can see big vains, but i see no pumping,i suppose ill have to wait and see,,the thing is ive got a new automatic incubater ,it only holds 3 eggs..ad if it does explode it will make a rigt mess..these incubators are not designed for an exploding egg.i think it would brake it..and they aint cheap..ill check them again in a few days and see if has grown any more,,,,,,{question} can a bad egg still grow ????

{4 days later} as i thought, it didnt grow any more ..ive took it out, only 2 eggs now,,if at first you dont succeed...try and try again

hi any body..well my eggs should be hatched today or tommorow,touch wood.god i hope they hatch..theve been in the incubetor 21 days nows..;ive only got 2 eggs and there my first..im crapping it.....ill post some pics if they hatch..is any body intrested?

well there not hatched yet,, they should of hatched by now ,theyve been in the incubater 22 days ,how long can it go over the due date..?if they dont hatch
im going to be gutted
