Hello, I stumbled across this site while learning about what I got myself into-) I adopted 21 Hens, Bantam pullets. They are approximately 8 weeks. I have had them since about 2 weeks. I recently adopted two Roosters. One black copper maran and a black copper with blue maran. The black copper is the dominate one and they are about 2-3 mos. old. They are a little aggressive with my girls (feather pulling and pecking at them) and the girls hide in the coop and the Roo won't go in the coop??? Should I keep them separate until they get a little older? The Roos are being a bullies but not hurting them yet.

You think they might be to heavy when they mount and could hurt their backs?
Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
They are currently too old to be with your 8 week old pullets and they are likely going to be too big for them.
