21 week old Barred Rock Hen - needs new home in MD

I have a 21 week old Barred Rock hen who is the sole survivor of a recent fox attack. She desperately needs to be integrated into a new flock, as she is very lonely right now. I tried finding her new chicken flock mates around her age, but it's been very difficult and I've had no luck.

I purchased her from a local breeder and she has been raised primarily for eggs (she has not started laying yet, but I suspect she will soon). She has been fed Purina feed her whole life, and has free ranged for several hours a day since she was 8 weeks old (with supervision).

I just want to find her a good home where she can live out her days with a new flock. I cannot ship her, so please, local inquiries only.

I live just south of Baltimore City. The PA line is about an hour away from me. I would be willing to meet halfway for the right home for my hen! Please message me if interested.

Can you meet in the Gaithersburg, MD area? I work there and can bring her home with me if you are willing to drive to Gaithersburg for the exchange. Also, it will have to be next Friday (16 August) if we do make the exchange. I would also consider meeting at the I70/I270 interchange in MD (Rockville) if it is more convenient for you. Again, have to meet Friday, 16 August.

Thanks for the interest. I've ordered some new chicks to hopefully introduce in the new couple of weeks. I'm going to see how/if she takes to the new babies and go from there. I will keep you in mind in the event it doesn't work out.
