They don't start laying until about 6 months. Just keep checking!

I got my girls in January and they did not start laying until June 21. Which was also the night before we left for vacation. My mom got to collect the new eggs for me!!I have a RIR and 2 Gold-Laced Wyandotte. Thankfully, they are all laying every day now. I tried putting a golf ball in the nest too, but that didn't work for my girls. They free range all day, so their eggs were everywhere. Again, thankfully, they finally figured out what the nesting boxes are for. I have three boxes, but they all use the same one! I also agree that your girls look too young. It is sooo hard to wait!!!

This is my 16 week old Rhodie. This picture was taken over 3 weeks ago. She is much redder now and her comb and wattles are probably 10-15% bigger still and she hasn't laid an egg yet.

Wow! You're right, they are def. not ready... their combs are no where hear that large. Ugg.. Lol thanks everyone!
