21 weeks and waiting -UPDATE...Not waiting anymore!!

I have 2 that will be 24 weeks old on Friday, and they haven't shown the slightest sign of getting ready to lay. But mine are Silver Penciled Rocks, so they are a slow maturing breed.

It will be worth the wait when they finally kick in. Just remember, it's better for the hen to start laying later.

I have 4 that hatched on April 10th. I'm still waiting too!

Yay Julie congratulations!!
Our pullets are 21-22 weeks and no eggs for us either. One's singing the egg song, another is squatting and pacing and digging nests in the nest box, she did this all weekend and STILL NO EGG!

Thanks! I think that Willow might be a EE/SLW mix and of course Bug is a bantam cochin that had a frizzle mom ~ There might be some interesting mixes coming out of this pen in the spring!

Mine are roughly 21 weeks now, and still no eggs. I'm waiting with ya. I have 3 bsl, 2 gsl, and 2 silkies.

Well I tried to teach them to squat and showed them where to put their eggs, but they just looked at me like I was crazy.
