21 weeks, not laying, but they look mature - WE HAVE AN EGG!!!!!!!

Still nothing. I'm going out of town this coming weekend for three days, so they'll probably all start laying then, so I'll miss it. My son will get to enjoy it, and get the joy of telling me about it, so that will be okay too.

Yes, looked lke a couple of weeks from the original post. Betting they schedule egg initiation for when you are out of town.

I have some of allthe breeds you have plus Silver Laced Wyandottes, Black Austalorps, White Leg Horns, and Buff Orpingtons...and I was wanting Doms but could not find them available whenI was ready to order. Had a friend that had Barred Rocks and loved them...so I thought they are close to appearance and I got them. I am so glad I did. They are my most friendliest ones..The sleep on my lap when I go to their pen. I take treats and a book every evening and they fight over who gets my lap and sit there and let me pet them and rock them to sleep...you won't be sorry..They look wonderfull..Keep up the good work...

Have any of them been squatting when you reach to pet them?? Or even when you just walk up to them and talk to them?? That's also a good indicator of eggs coming within a week or so. Your flock is very pretty

My flock members are all different too - I love that they look so individual.
I've got a silkie who is 26 weeks old tomorrow and has yet to lay, and I'm sure all of yours will be laying earlier than THAT!!
