Hi - we have a Black Rock hen which we believe to be 22 weeks of age. We've only had her for 2 and a half weeks and for the first couple of days she laid an egg.
Now no eggs at all for 9 days in a row. She seems fine and is eating well - not stressed or anything.
Can anyone help? Thanks in advance x

This is actually pretty normal for pullets IME. I had two girls lay their first eggs at 17 weeks old. They layed for 2 days each, then nothing for a few weeks. Depending on the hen, they could start laying regular in a few weeks, and maybe not regular until a few more months. I also had a hen who was egg-bound with her first one and she hasn't had any problems since that first one. Just watch her for awhile. If she seems to be acting weird or if her vent is pulsing and she seems to be strained, that could be a sign that she is egg-bound. If you see that or any other signs of her being egg-bound, PM me. If I can't help you, I will help you find someone who can.

Awww thank you so much - am sure she's okay as in not egg-bound. She's too busy eating and running around and looking normal as can be,
I will get in touch if she acts strange - thank you again x
