Still no crow or eggs :(
I thought the paint was a roo, but now I’m not so sure.

My black frizzle is supposedly a few weeks older and it looks like they’ve maxed out on size for now.

Sorry I couldn’t get better photos of black frizzle, he’s really just a ball of feathers and also looks extra ridiculous because his trimmed crest and beard are now growing back 😂

I agree. The splash for sure, the frizzle also looks to be but you don't really get feather clues from them. The beards do not help, but I'd still expect to see more on the comb front at that age, and definitely some crowing too if they're not absolutely bottom of the pecking order submissive to an older dominant rooster(and if that's the case, bring them indoors overnight, my submissive boys will often crow once they're away from the flock.)

They're both kept in a separate smaller run from my other girls, and indoors at night. no crows yet 😳 sometimes the frizzle boks a bit loudly, but I don't know whether it's trying to crow or just getting their adult voice. Both are fairly quiet, but they still peep from time to time...
