I threatened my pullets last week that they were going to be sold at First Monday Trades Day at the end of the month if they didn't start laying.

Well, Tuesday I went out to check & found 1 little pullet egg!!! Wed. there were 2, Thurs. 1 egg, Today 2 again!!!

Sometimes you just gotta get tough with them!!!! LOL

Now I just need to remind the other 137 of them about First Monday.

Yup, just like kids...gotta keep them in line!!! LOL

Thanks for compliment on the horse pic. We kept one of his daughters that was born this year, & she is going to be a looker when she grows up. She is shedding her baby hair now & looks nice & slick in spots & fluffy in others. Can't wait for her to finish shedding, then I'll post pics of her.

Can't wait to see pics!! My daughter really wants a paint! We have a QH and a TB. There's just something about a horse that has a variety in it's color, I love the markings that paints have!! Someday, I will have one!!

Here is a pic of a few of the different eggs from my pullets.
My Ameraucana's have finally starting to lay.
The Jumbo egg is not a double yolker, we had it for breakfast this morning, just 1 huge yolk.

Rafter since it worked for you, can you come have a chat with my hens? 25 hens, 18 weeks old, not a single egg yet! Yesterday, I thought I was getting one for sure, had a hen who stayed in the chicken house, she was standing up, squating down, standing up, squating down, over and over and squawking like crazy, but no egg.

I need everyone to send me 'egg dust' to make some good luck. LOL.

Thanks,
The colors didn't show as good as they looked. 2 of them are blue & one is a blue-green.
The brown eggs are either from my Delawares, Dominique's, or the Sex Links.

I'm getting a little over 5 dozen eggs a day now.
