These chickens are very docile, dual purpose, GREAT LAYERS of light brown eggs AND they make beautiful yard ornaments. We are fairly new to this breed, but have been very impressed with them. Our 5 and 7 year olds help in their care and we never have to worry about any aggressive behavior from this rooster. We have found them to be quite personable and they will follow us around the yard almost like a dog. They are a heavier breed and are for the most part flightless ( I've only seen them fly up 2" to roost ). Ours are from Greenfire Farm stock.
