From what I have experienced with assisted hatches they tend to take a little longer to eat. That being said I still would offer food and water at this point however, they sometimes will take an extra day or two to start eating compared to others that hatched naturally. I actually bought a pack of cheap small ramekins off of Amazon to use as food and water dishes for assisted hatches, but any basic 3" diameter and 2" tall ceramic dish you could probably find with no problems. They fit nicely in smaller clear plastic containers, deep enough to dunk their head, heavy enough that they can't tip them over when stumbling and they're also just high enough that a duckling struggling to walk can't fall in. I initially dip their bill in both the food and water dish then I set them right next to them. The one thing all of my assisted hatches have had in common is they are fighters and once they start getting the supplements they get some energy to them. As adults they always end up being the ones with the most personality in my flock.I
ok thank you.
should I be concerned about food? Seeing as he can’t stand how do I get him to eat ? He pan kicks a little when I give him the vitamin water.
