24 hour old chick with legs and feet issue.

@Eggcessive Do you believe Seal's issues are congenital?
This was what I was going to ask. And if anyone else thought there was possibly something else wrong with her because she's not eating on her own. She did accidentally put her whole face in the water attached to the sling chair and drank what was on her beak. I just don't understand why she won't eat on her own. @Eggcessive

Oh My Gosh, she loves it! She actually ate a little chunk of egg and got feisty when you drew away, like, Hey, I Was Not Finished!
:wee :ya:wee:ya
You could add the egg to her other supplements for a power+ supplement! Do you puree feed when you syringe feed her?
She really did like it! Thank you for the recommendation and how too. Apparently, I can design a chick sling chair, buy not figure out how to make a cooked egg go into a syringe. 🤦🏼‍♀️
I think all the peep screams are getting to me. 😆
I actually did mix the B complex water into the egg yolk. I figured she needs as much as possible.
I don't puree the food, I just sprinkled some crumbles in the vitamin water and they end up mostly desolved. That's why the water is yellow and kinda murky. The only time I've seen Seal eat without the syringe is by face planting into the food dish on the sling chair and eating what's on her beak.
She's 4 days old now and so much smaller than her siblings. They have feathers developing, and Seal doesn't. I'm afraid this is a losing battle. I'll keep at it, though because I'm not a quiter. 😉

I do so understand what you are going through and persevere you will by little Seal's side to give her the absolute best chance. It's like she is the egg hatch that was not meant to be, but was! The little runt who's chugging along as best and fast as she can. It does all appear to support congenital things going on. Well, I'm cheering for you and the wee one! 💗 ❤️ 💗

From the Merck manual:

Treatment of rickets consists of correcting nutritional imbalances or deficiencies in the diet. Prevention focuses on adequate feed quality that provides amounts of vitamin D, calcium, and phosphorus, as well as a calcium : phosphorus ratio, adapted to the growth and production stage of the bird.

How can I do that for Seal?
