I "FINALLY" found someone that's not too far away (25 minutes) with button quails! Unfortunately he wants $25 for females and $20 for males...Is that too much? I don't want to spend $45 for a pair plus I have to pick them up!!

Is the price outrageous?

I need opinions asap!

WOW!! I would ship you a pair for that! Well if I had enough to spare I would!

It is worth it if you want them that bad but not for me

I saw them at a pet store for close to that. It depends on the area. I heard some cost less in other areas.

It's a supply and demand issue I'm sure.

Have you seen them? Is it a clean operation with healthy looking birds? Can you afford them?

If not, wait and shop around. You may find someone with some later on in the spring for a better price. Especially on this site!!

I've never seen them as of yet...

it's really a bad deal...I'm getting burned big time but if it has to come to that to get them...I'm not sure.

Do you have an incubator?
You can get a BUNCH of eggs for $25 on here, I think.

I'd do more research, or see if the guy can be bargained with. Like a deal on a pair, or something.

I'm afraid you're getting burned, too.

get an incubator! That would solve your problem and open the doors to a completely new set of issues and addictions!

after reading your last post on hatching.....Id go for it, but try and talk him down. Make him an offer. I know how hard it is to find a breed that you want even remotely close to your area. Give it a shot. Hows the quality of the birds. Id at least go look. You may be surprised!
