25 is too many for me to start with - what to do?

Are you familiar with "Freecycle", there is a network in your area. Their purpose is to give away (therefore get) items for free that would otherwise be disposed of. I have been trying to get rid of a rooster and everyone who responds is interested in pullets.

I knew I only wanted 6 (being a newbie too). I found a local mom and pop feed store that will take your order and then add other orders to it until you get the 25 minimum. I believe that they ordered from mt. healthy here in ohio (I had to choose the breeds off of a poster) but they had everything I was looking for. They came in June 23 and were really healthy and are doing great! They are big already and my coop is just about done. For now they are in a kiddie pool about 5' round. I don't know what I would have done with 25!!

I live about 30 minutes from you and MIGHT be interested in taking some of your birds. But, I'm waiting to butcher 15 x-rocks and I can't do anything until after that.
