Folks have a right to ask whatever they like for their birds. It's up to the buyer to decide if he wants to pay that and if the birds are of any value.
I am not seeing where he is doing anything illegal either. It is not illegal to buy and sell gamefowl even if they had been used illegally. Someone may just be interested in preserving the bloodlines.
