Hey Friends, the top photo are what all of the chicks look like. The one at the bottom is a tad bigger, and very different looking than all the rest, could it be a little rooster or a different breed?its wing tips are straight, and these are Mcmurray chicks. Thanks for looking

Yah to me it does too, but i dont know much about chickens. These chicks are a blast, and all are doing well so far. Weve lost 1, but thats to be expected.

Yeah, don't have my chicks yet but that one def looks like a diff breed. Sorry bout your loss. Hope you don't lose any more. Good Luck!

Its definately a different breed, but still a bit too young to positively tell gender.

Ok, Thanks ... Anyone got some good guesses on what kind of breed that is ? I know it's bigger than the rest, and definitely the dominant over the Australop chicks.

I don't know the breed but neither of the 2 above look like australorps to me.Did you get them from a hatchery?

Yes Satay, I ordered australorp chicks from Mcmurray. I'm leaning toward the bottom chick being an Americana from all the chick I'd sites I've been too??

Oh ok. I breed Aussies over here and my chicks look nothing like that. They have way more white on them at that age. Maybe the U.S ones are slightly different.
