Is it normal for BO's to take this long to start laying? Please tell me that I'm not the only one who's experiencing this. Thanks so much!

My blue laced red Wyandotte just turned 27 weeks and she isn't laying yet either. Big birds are slow.
My 28 week partridge rock just started laying this week. Have patience with the slower girls...they just need a little more time then the others do.

Thanks for the reassurance. I hear everybody telling me that their BO's started laying at 20-22 weeks and it's frustrating. Even though our Buffy is as big as a whale, guess she's just late bloomer.

I read in some forums the later they lay the bigger their eggs. However, if they get too "fat", they will not lay... And worse they may have health issues... So her diet is also an important thing to consider...

That's good to know :)

She's not fat, she's just much bigger compared to my Amerecaunas and Welsummer lol
