Good luck with the homemade incubator. I'm very interested on how it turns out. Looking forward to the pics. Wishing you the best of luck with you hatch.

Thanks for the compliment. No need to apologize Nactchlaly. I know, all to well, the demands work can place on us. I've just been lucky in the last couple of days that I've been off work.

I live almost in the middle of the United States. The time presently here is 14:19 hours. So, I think I'm 5 hours ahead of you.

Welcome Neverenuff! Sorry to hear about the power outage. I am dreading any storm in the next few weeks.

Living in a rural area is almost a guarantee power will fail.

Thanks, GeoKan.

Still have to mount brackets inside for either shelves or drawers, drill a 4" dia. hole in the bottom of the center partition (for air circulation), insulate the right hand side of the cabinet, and place a fan, put 2 lower cabinet doors on the front, and frame 2 pieces of plexi on top for viewing...it's not a small box - it is 38"h x 38"w x 24"d...Maybe I have more ambition than common sense, but most of the materials were salvaged, and I have the power tools I need, so - what the heck, why not!? LOL! Wait until the peeps on this forum get a load of what I have in mind for a henhouse...ROTFLOL!
