2nd grade teacher

I am a second grade teacher in VA. I did the embryology project with the 4-H and only had ONE egg out of 40, due to a power outage at the school when a bad storm hit. Basically, I love this little miracle Rhode Island Red, and I am interested in keeping my week old chick permanently! This is such a great site. Right now, I have 10 Old English Bantams in the incubator, and am trying for a second time... wishing for more success!

Welcome to BYC! I had a terrible hatch with only one chick that hatched, "Little Chick" was so lonely I had to hold it all the time. See if you can find a friend or two at a feed store. Good luck to you.
