This is my second time owning chickens (egg layers) and I am running into new issues this round. I gave my old batch to a family friend due to neighbors complaints about them being free range. I've got these ones in a nice enclosure that is indoors and outdoors. My chickens are thriving, overall.

I originally picked up 12 mixed variety of chicks (2 from each container at Family Farm and Home) on March 19th. 2 of my chicks had pasty butt (which I had never heard of until this round of chicks), I got them cleaned up and ended up losing one of them. The 2 that had pasty butt were the same bread and a little younger than the other 10.

On April 18th I picked up 6 more chicks to hang with Sgt. Pasty Butt aka Pasty (the pasty butt chick that lived), inside because Pasty was still so small, really I just wanted more chicks.
In the pictures you can see the size differences. My chicks that I picked up a month later are the same size if not bigger than pasty now. Any suggestions? Should I be concerned? Did having the pasty butt impact her growth?

Also I noticed on her and the other one I got with her that they had blue colored bellies, but I thought it was just from.having pasty butt.

Is "Pasty" the black and gold lacy chick? If so, then it looks like you have a Golden Sebright. That's a bantam breed, so they'll be smaller than a standard fowl. They're also a "hen-feathered" breed, which means that the males and females have very similar feathering (minimal to no hackle or saddle feathers.) You may not know if it's a male or female until you either get a crackly little crow, or a tiny little egg ... surprise!
I LOVE the third picture! I think it's so funny - and terribly cute - when tinier chicks automatically tuck under the wings of older ones ... even tiny older ones. Instinct runs pretty strong ... and even the young males seem to adapt to playing "Mom!"
Oh - and Welcome back to Chickendom! BYC is a GREAT place to hang out!
