I currently have 7 little ladies. I'm fairly sure that they are all hens but what's the harm in checking.
Also 2 of the ladies are mystery breeds. Any ideas about what breed they are? I'll post them first.
Nubia: We thinks she's an Australorp and not a Black Jersey Giant because of the white in her wings.
Viola: We're hoping for her to be an Easter or Olive Egger. Welsummer is the next preference and Speckled Sussex is what I think is least likely. I don't know if the pictures show it well but she has muffs developing. I also thought I saw the beginnings of leg feathers. But it may have been that her feet were just dirty and gross.
Simone (as in Simone Biles): Salmon Faverolles
Buffy: Buff Orpington
Wanda: Lavender Orpington The pics are interesting because lil mama is spastic at times.
Sweet Baby: Light Brahma Destined to be a big girl even though she's currently my smallest. Her feet are huge though.
And final but not least,
Gwanda: Lavender Orpington Wanda's twin and big sister
I'm so proud of my girls. I'm a first time chicken keeper. It's going so well so far. But the anxiety is real. My cane corso is entirely too curious for my liking. I think she's visualizing dinner or playtime. I'm not interested in her having either.
My coop and run just need a few more touches like some touch up paint, some hardware cloth, some sand, some roosts... Ok maybe I was being delusional. I still have a fair amount of work to do.
Let me know what y'all think! I look forward to your replies.
