I recently had a 4 week old cockerel tearing up the coop and drawing blood. You could hear the other chicks just screaming.
When i went in, all were cowered in a corner bloody. The bully standing in the middle of the coop.
I know there is enough space, food, water, venting etc. He was culled.
Its part of good animal husbandry. The health of the flock is more important to me than the one aggresive chicken.
I know that because i hatch eggs, i will have several cockerels and there will be culls for several different reasons in managing my flocks.
