These areas are about as big as a 50 cent piece. They are red and all feathers are gone. Have been this way 6 weeks. Have treated with diatomaceous earth, topical antibiotic, Prometheus, Vaseline. Nothing seems to help. Hen does not act sick in any way

Do you have a rooster? Looks like rooster wearing if you do, and pecking if you don't. Looks also like your bird is starting to molt. It's a good time to make sure you are feeding a higher protein ration to help them grow new feathers. I recommend something with 18-22%.

THANK YOU

THE ODD THING ABOUT THESE AREAS ARE THEY NEVER CHANGE. ITS BEEN SEVERAL MONTHS AND THEY ARE EXACTLY LIKE THEY WERE WHEN I FIRST NOTICE THEM. NO MOLTING HAS TAKEN PLACE. I'LL ADD PROTIEN TO THEIR DIET.

Where are you located and how old are your birds?

Generally here in America chickens older than a year will go through a full body molt anywhere from August to December. Most grow back lost feathers first. Each chicken molts on it's own time.

Birds younger than a year should grow back any lost feathers before winter sets in.
