This is a three year old thread and the OP, Just Three, hasn't been active for over a year.

I have 4 9wk old barred rocks. Two of them are gray with a noticeable comb and the other two are much more black with no comb showing yet. Pretty convinced the gray ones are males. Which means someone needs a new home!
