3 breeds to make everyone happy?

Hey I think that having a back up roo is a good Idea but when they reach maturity I would rehome not cull or cook the extras someone is bound to want them. three roosters to 39 hens will be just fine so if you keep a leghorn roo a silkie roo and an Australorp roo will be just fine and I must say that they are probably some of the best chickens.

I envy you as of now I have room for only five chickens it is agony

I agree with the other posts. In my opinion it's whatever breeds you want.
Here is a great reference book, Gail Damerow's 'Storey's Guide to Chickens' is an excellent guide, as well as this web site. This site is an excellent source of information.
