I do, mostly short pieces of 2x4 and some other odds n ends.

No, you're fine, I'm in NE Ohio, so we have raccoons for sure, but I'm getting a game camera tonight (found one at Walmart for $20). I didnt want to leave them out all night, but its only 3 -4' high and trying to chase them to get them in the crate to transport was NOT easy.....I fell a few times, in poo. I'm pretty sure whatever did get them, did it during the day, so unless it was a rabid raccoon, it had to be something that hunts during the day. I'll be out there this weekend with my airsoft rifle and this evening once I get the camera up. I read someone put out mint extract, so I may try that too

I have seen those nasty opossums..you know the ones that only hunt at night...in broad day light attack some chickens in a friends not so secure coop.
Do not believe that certain animals only attack at night...not true.
When there is "free food" any critter will steal it..day or night. period.

I was thinking more like long pieces..something you could nail together to make a wall type thing around this temporary structure...but then again..that would be close to building a whole coop.

You know whats crazy is the night before it happened, I went to check on them and they were all huddled up to the front of the run. When I came out they were peeping so much it sounded like they were crying. I've never heard them make such noises. Like they were scared. I wasn't sure what to do, so I kept my door open all night and slept on the couch so I could hear any commotion (I'm a light sleeper).

I'm honestly more sad than anything. I spend so much time with them, especially when I'm home alone. They're my tranquility, my featherbabies....just stinks.
