the coop is too small for me to safely add heaters. in the end i did bring them inthe basement as it just got dark and they would have been heading into the coop anyway. They dont seem too upset, more curious then anything. If i get less eggs then i guess thats ok. IT is -30 right now outside and the wind is even colder so i was too nervous. I hope i made the right decision
Sounds like you are doing GREATtemp rose to 15 degrees so they are back outside. This was my first winter with chickens so i guess i wasnt as prepared as i should have been but i think iv done a pretty good job so far. and my dh wont let me put a heater in there. Now that there outside again they seem a little agitated about being back in the cold and seem to be staying in the coop but i think they are doing just fine. going to check on them every couple of hours. hope im doing everything i can for them
