I have 3 chicks that are 9 weeks old- they have been sneezing a little and now I know they are sick the last couple of days they have been sleeping too much and their feathers are too much ruffled. The poor little things. I just thought they were molting and didnt really think that much of it but now I know they are sick. They seem really sleepy They are in the house

they are kind of quiet but they peep a little
I upped the temp a little in the house but not much-they are not huddling
their faces are kind of pale
I dont really think their poop is any different-maybe it is more white in it

First 9 week chicks do not molt...they can loose a few juvenile feathers but molts happen in older birds.....I'd say they got chilled...Brooder boxes have sides on them to prevent drafts and a heat source down from the top to keep chills off of them...Try a mashed clove of garlic in their waterer..

Brooder boxes and heat lamps are kept for day olds til they fully feather out...I have 2 8 week olds in the house in a brooder box and heat source...I'm not planning taking them outside til fully feathered and the weather warms up alot..then they will go into a larger pen with a heat source....

Keep an eye on the chicks, something else might be going on too....it's hard to tell .....
