3 Coops!

Three coops and all 17 birds sleep and lay in the same one? Oh, except one hen she lays with the rest but sleeps by herself. She has gone back and forth a few times. Birds free range all day, coop is 7x7. Seems like a lot of birds in there but they do have enough room for all to be up ona perch. Would be nice to get some to use the other coops. Some do go in the other coops during the day?

Yep, that's what they do...they flock together.
If they fit and don't fight, I guess it's fine.
But may degrade the air quality unless you have excellent ventilation.
 
I have a similar situation, except that the current broody chases out anyone in the coop that she decides to roost in on any given night (it's like musical coops, with squawks for music :th), so tonight she and her 3 chicks have the largest coop to themselves, and everyone else has piled into the other 2...
