3-D printing

It's a Neptune, right? I think the plate for those is textured PEI.

70% IPA isn't typically strong enough, but if you used dawn and a green scrubby, you shouldn't necessarily need it.

What temp are you heating your bed to? Might be time for ye olde hairspray.

Yes, it’s a Neptune 4 Max.

Right now during this print, the nozzle is at 220C and the build plate is at 60C. So far, it appears to be adhering just fine.

Maybe I just really needed to scrub when I washed it.

This is a work in progress. I need to modernize the turn signals, headlight hi/low beams, and hazards on the bug. Originally VW had an "all in one" flasher box, which had all the internal relays built in, but they're no longer made. Since i need to hang a bunch of new relays, I'm building some mounting blocks to make it a bit cleaner. Thikn I'm at the point where I'm mostly happy with the base. Now I need to add some screw-in cover brackets and a tab for the self-tapper at the top. Then I can final print them with something orange to match the car.
