I have a 3 day old baby with a slipped tendon of a splayed leg. I don't know what the difference or how to fix it. Can someone help me?????? Does someone have a link that they could put on here that could help me. I need a link that will help me be able to tell the difference and how to fix it. Any information would be really appreciated. I don't want to have to cull this little baby.

Does anyone know of any sites I can check out. I would like to do some research, so I can be ready for tomorrow. I do know in this situation the quicker I do something the better.

I have been doing research. It says try to put the tendon back in. How do I know if it goes back in or not. Where is the tendon????

Thats a very good write up, also the pic is cute but doesnt show the feet / legs well. If you still need help after reading casportpony's link please post pictures of the legs / feet / stance.

When it comes to slipping the tendon back in (if thats the issue) just visualize a chicken drumstick. On the bone end there is a groove, thats where the tendon lies. It will feel like sliding a little cable into a groove. In the writeup they mention making a cast out of a straw, personally I would wrap the joint with medical tape pretty title like a bandage to keep the tendon in place and minimize movement.

You're correct, it's not a very good picture for showing slipped tendon. I tried to get one of the hock, which was twice the size of the other, but it didn't come out (was at feed store). I should also say that each day it got worse and within a week or so, the foot had rotated to much more.
