3 day old chick alert and calling but not eating or drinking

It is alert but not as strong today I see it pecking from time to time now so I get hopeful. I mixed egg yolk and poultry drench and try and syringe it to her. I think something is just off on this chick.. the mother I hear tried to kill it..... so maybe she knew something wasn't right. I keep trying tho.......... go chicky go..

I know this post is old.... But I have this EXACT dilemma with a Lavendar Orpington...3 days old...eggs were shipped and placed under my Buff Orpington Roody hen....4 very healthy chicks and little # 5 is the exact description of yours....WANTS to eat...but is simply not.

Is Pedialyte an over- the - counter product for infants ?
This little chick s trying SO hard....today is day 3... I brought her in and ave er under heat lamp...mother hen was rejecting her ...ANY Help is MOST appreciated.. This is the first post iave found which is identical to our dilemma
