Hello - I am an anxious first-time chick mom and was hoping to get some afvice or reassurance!
I have a chick that I hatched here 3 days ago. Out of everyone this chick breaths twice as fast as everyone else (not open mouth panting, or wheezing just fast breathing) regardless if she is sleeping/running around etc. She acts the exact same as all the others, darting around, checking things out, eating, drinking, pecking etc. I wouldnt have even realized if I wasn't just sitting watching them sleep.
Should I be worried? Is there anything I should do?

Congratulations on your chicks!

Sounds like she's probably o.k. if she's acting, eating/drinking just like the others.

Signs of illness or something is wrong - a chick will often stand to the side alone with their eyes closed, near heat or under the heat. They are not eating/drinking. Sometimes they just lay down away from the others. Not interested in interacting with the others and/or get trampled or walked on by other chicks.

Thank you! I'll keep an eye on her, still so far so good, so fingers crossed!
