Did you fold the plaster over and stick it to itself and then trim it round her foot so she can’t pull it off it needs to be done other wise she will have bent toes when she’s older and saw one at auction the other day and it’s horrible and cruel for the bird please just persevere

Try a small braiding band. Have you read through the podiatry link, are you sure it’s splayed leg and not higher up?

Oh, I read it as both. Never had a chick remove cloth bandaid sandals, in fact had trouble getting them off at end of treatment. Niacin levels need to be supplemented.

Thankfully they are now straightened out, and she's raising more chaos with the others as she's the boss. She had splayed leg and curly toes but both are now corrected at 4 days old. She finally couldn't get them off once she lots the piece on beak to break outta the shell
