So, I did a search of the forums and found an old post from 2011 that I think relates to my problem, but I wanted a second opinion(s).
We have a 3 day old chick that is bleeding from her vent. I noticed it while cleaning some dried poop off (applying a wet paper towel then gently using a Q-tip to work the poop off). Her vent also looks a bit swollen. As far as I've been able to tell, the other chicks are not pecking at her at all.
I found this post on the forums that I believe answers my question: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/577959/2-day-old-chick-bleeding-and-swollen-near-vent-update
I just wanted other opinions and to find out if there is anything else I should be looking for to tell if it is something else entirely or if I'm right.
P.S. She's not lethargic at this point and seems to enjoy running around, especially when I try to get her for a cleaning/inspection!
Thank you in advance!
