3 day old chicks dying very fast, please help!

Hey guys, I'm having problems with my chicks. I think you could guess from my signature.....

I have the heat lamp 24" from the floor of the brooder, the water is on a short stand to keep it clean, the floor is wood shavings, clean, I have it inside so it would not get too terribly cold even without the heater, I have a vitamin mix recommended by a pro in the water, the chicks are vaccinated, the heat is perfect, there are no signs of too hot or too cold, YET THEY ARE DYING LIKE FLEAS PLEASE HELP!

Can you post some photos of your brooder set-up?
How old are they?


Make sure your brooder is large enough to for them to move away from the heat source. Ideally only one spot should be warm - let the rest be cool or cold. Keep the food and water on the cool side as well.

Are you seeing any symptoms - lethargy, runny poop, coughing, sneezing, panting, wings spread out, etc.

Do your best to keep them hydrated and offer wet feed.

Runny poop. About half of them have runny poop. I'll share pictures soon of my setup. Thanks!

3 days, and they are eating and drinking a lot.

are you giving the warm water? have you looked at they butts? it can be pasty butt. look at this. I know how to care for pasty butt if that's it they can be backed up.

Thanks, but no, their bottoms are ok. I checked them all, vents are clear. Had to clean one. Thanks again!
