Powdered Corid drench. Mix 1/2 teaspoon powder with 10 ml of water. Stir well and give 0.07 ml per 100 grams orally once a day for 1-3 days. Give in addition to medicated water.
Medicated water should have no less than 1.5 teaspoons powder per gallon for 5 days, then 1/3 teaspoon for 7-14 days.

Kathy,
I have a very sick bird, i found her on her back in the run yesterday, half buried in dirt and bedding. I thought she was dead but when I picked her up she was still alive. Very thin, crop empty. I seperated her and she seems to go in and out of alertness. Fluffed up and staying in the corner. But a little better today after I gave her 2 droppers of electrolytes last night. I was able to buy powered corid today. I mixed 1/2 teaspoon in 10 ml's of water. I only have tiny scales or a regular human one. I put her on the human one and she's about a pound. I gave her about .25 ml's of the mixture. Is this ok?? Thanks!

I am having very good results treating with Toltrazuril for coccidia.
If she weighs one pound you can give 0.34 ml.
Math for pounds is weight of bird in pounds, divide by 2.2, times 20, divide by 27 = # of ml to give.
1 / 2.2 x 20 / 27 = ~0.34 ml
Keep her warm, 80-85 degrees ideal. You should also figure out a way to get her properly hydrated.

Quote: Sometimes they start after one dose, other times 3, and sometimes they never do... At one pound her maintenance water intake is no less than 23 ml per day. Add dehydration, which she probably has, and the first 1-2 days it would be best to get about 40 ml into her. can you get a tube to tube her with?

These are using a crop needle, not a plastic tube.
This one uses a tube like I use
